What a G2 Leader Placement Means When You're the One Putting Your Name on the Platform

G2 Leader, Fall 2026 badge

RealCISO has been named a Leader in G2’s Fall 2026 Grid® Report for Governance, Risk & Compliance, on the strength of 188 verified reviews and a Net Promoter Score of 93.

For most software categories, a badge is a marketing asset. For a service provider, it is something closer to a reference check — because when an MSP, MSSP, or independent vCISO picks a compliance platform, they are not just buying software. They are putting their own brand on somebody else’s product and then standing in front of a client with it.

That changes which numbers in a G2 report actually matter. Here are the ones that do.

G2 Fall 2026 — Leader

Run your whole book of business on one platform

Multi-tenant architecture, white-label reporting, and cross-client portfolio intelligence — built for practices managing dozens to hundreds of clients.

Support quality is a margin line, not a soft metric

RealCISO scored 98% on quality of support in the Fall 2026 report, against a category average of 92%.

For an in-house team, six points is a preference. For a service provider it is a P&L item. Every hour a consultant spends on a vendor support ticket is an hour that does not get billed to a client, and it lands squarely on the delivery margin of a fixed-fee vCISO engagement. Worse, it lands during a client engagement, where the client does not distinguish between the platform’s problem and the practice’s problem.

The same logic runs through the setup number. RealCISO rated 98% on ease of setup against an 88% category average — ten points clear of the field.

Onboarding speed is the constraint on how many clients a practice can add per quarter. A platform that takes three weeks to stand up per client caps growth in a way that no amount of sales effort fixes.

NPS 93 is the number to actually check

RealCISO’s Net Promoter Score in the Fall 2026 report is 93, against a category average of 69. For comparison within the same report:

NPS answers the specific question a service provider should be asking before standardizing a practice on any platform: would the people already using this tell a peer to use it? Because a platform decision is not reversible on a sensible timeline. Migrating a book of business off a compliance tool means re-onboarding every client, re-collecting evidence, and explaining to each of them why the portal changed.

Supporting numbers from the same report: 100% of RealCISO reviewers rated it 4 or 5 stars, 97% said they would recommend it, and 99% said the product is headed in the right direction.

The satisfaction gap against the platforms MSPs actually evaluate

RealCISO’s Satisfaction score of 88 puts it in the top ten of the 330 products in the report. Within the set of platforms a vCISO practice typically shortlists, that gap is wide:

RealCISO also ties Drata at 88 on satisfaction — a company carrying a Market Presence score of 80 to RealCISO’s 52.

Which is worth stating plainly: RealCISO is not the largest vendor on this Grid, and that Market Presence score of 52 reflects it. Market Presence measures company size, market share, and social footprint. It is a measure of the vendor, not of the product. On the axis built from what customers actually say, RealCISO is in the top ten of the category.

What partners are running on it

The capabilities behind those scores were built for the multi-client delivery model, not retrofitted onto a single-company tool:

  • Multi-tenant with sub-organizations. Hundreds of clients in one instance with rollup visibility, instead of a login per client.
  • White-label ready. Custom domains, logos, and colors through report profiles. The client sees the practice’s brand.
  • Portfolio intelligence. Cross-client pattern recognition across the book — “across your 60 healthcare clients, access control is the highest-variance category, and 12 are below L2.” That is a renewal conversation and an upsell list at the same time.
  • L1–L5 maturity trajectory. Maturity tracked per control over time, so a QBR shows a trend line rather than the same pass/fail table as last quarter. It is also the clearest way to demonstrate the value of the retainer.
  • Impact simulation. Open gaps ranked by actual projected score improvement, so remediation roadmaps are defensible rather than opinion-based.
  • Evidence expiration ranked by risk. Expiring evidence surfaced across the portfolio before a client’s audit, not after.
  • Per-client billing with Starter and Premium tiers. The billing model partners already use, with partners setting their own client pricing.
  • Continuous monitoring. 15 integrations, 155 collectors, and 386 automated tests on a 12-hour cadence across cloud, identity, MDM, EDR, and vulnerability management.
  • No per-framework charges. NIST CSF 2.0, SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, CMMC 2.0, PCI-DSS, NIST 800-171, NIST 800-53, FedRAMP and more — all frameworks available to all customers.

The short version

A Leader badge is a summary. The useful detail is underneath it: 98% on support and 98% on setup, because those are the two numbers that determine whether a platform costs a practice margin or protects it. NPS 93, because a platform decision is expensive to reverse. And 188 reviews at 4.8 out of 5, because that is a large enough sample to be something other than a handful of friendly customers.

The best way to test any of it is to run one of your own client assessments through it and see how long it takes.
